Government’s Charging infrastructure Masterplan II in final phase


The German federal government has developed the new ‘Charging infrastructure II masterplan’ as a roadmap for the expansion of charging infrastructure for the government and other expansion actors. Now available, the masterplan draft was prepared by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) and will now be sent to the relevant stakeholders such as federal states, municipalities, associations and companies, in order to discuss the various measures with them as a next step.

First charging infrastructure conference of the BMDV kicks off with over 1,300 participants online and on site in Berlin


Today, the “Charging Infrastructure Conference” (“Ladeinfrastruktur-Konferenz”) of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV) is taking place in Berlin for the first time. In his capacity as host, Dr Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, welcomes the more than 1,300 registered participants at the Berlin TEC Event Campus and online.

“Easy charging in the municipality” – New guide from the Centre for Charging Infrastructure supports cities and municipalities in the expansion of charging infrastructure


Cities and municipalities in Germany play a key role in the expansion of publicly accessible charging infrastructure. The new “Easy Charging in the Municipality” (“Einfach laden in der Kommune”) guide provides practical assistance in the implementation of charging infrastructure for public roads. In particular, it introduces the topics of awarding contracts, tendering and approval processes. It has now been published as part of the Charging Infrastructure Conference of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr).

Up-to-date & informative: National Centre for Charging Infrastructure publishes new data on the expansion and operation of charging infrastructure in Germany


With four new online data products, the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure now provides information on the current utilisation of charging points, the expansion of the publicly accessible charging infrastructure, the charging processes that have been conducted and much more. The goal: sharing knowledge, achieving transparency.

New “Easy charging at Residential Buildings” guideline published


Today, the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has published a new guideline for the installation of private charging infrastructure in multi-apartment buildings. It is aimed at owner occupiers, tenants and landlords who are planning to set up charging facilities at multi-party buildings. Among other things, the new guideline offers step-by-step instructions for establishing charging solutions in multi-apartment building settings.

“Local charging infrastructure” funding programme: Eulektro’s city charging park in Bremen inaugurated as one of the first projects


The Free Hanseatic City of Bremen today officially inaugurated a federally funded inner-city public charging park. The new charging park was established by the Bremen-based start-up company Eulektro in cooperation with the city of Bremen.
