The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has today launched the third course of its LadeLernTOOL e-learning platform. The platform is particularly aimed in at employees working in municipalities, to support them in setting up charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at the local level. 30. June 2023 Together with the German Tourism Association (Deutsche Tourismusverband e.V. (DTV)), the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure surveyed stakeholders in German tourism about charging infrastructure in the sector. 2. May 2023 On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr), the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure (Nationale Leitstelle Ladeinfrastruktur) under the umbrella of the federally owned NOW GmbH is today publishing the new guideline entitled “Easy charging without barriers: Requirements for barrier-free charging infrastructure” (“Einfach Laden ohne Hindernisse: Anforderungen an barrierefreie Ladeinfrastruktur”). 19. April 2023 The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) has approved funding for around 255,000 new charging points for companies and municipalities over the past year. A total of 229 million euros in funding have been allocated for this purpose. That is the result of the BMDV funding guideline: ‘Non-publicly accessible charging stations for electric vehicles – companies and municipalities’. 29. March 2023 For the first time, commercial vehicle manufacturers are providing detailed information on the planned sales figures for trucks with alternative drive systems. According to the report, around three-quarters of new registrations in heavy road freight transport are to be emission-free in 2030. The technological focus is on batteries and fuel cells. 27. February 2023 What gets in the way of smooth and reliable charging of e-vehicles? In a project funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), stakeholders from industry and science diagnosed sources of errors and on that basis, drafted a catalogue of measures for a more user-friendly public charging infrastructure. 20. January 2023 The German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA Bundesverband) surveyed 1,500 members on the subject: ‘Charging infrastructure in hospitality’*. The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure supported DEHOGA in drafting the questions. The result: Half of the business surveyed have already installed charging infrastructure or are planning to do so. 19. January 2023 E-learning platform for municipal authority staff is launched The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure today launched the LadeLernTOOL. The new E-learning platform will assist municipal employees in acquiring and expanding their knowledge about charging infrastructure, planning charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and advancing its installation locally. The tool is now immediately available at ladelerntool.de. It can be used free of charge following a short registration process. 7. November 2022 Federal Minister Dr. Volker Wissing presented the Charging Infrastructure Master Plan in Berlin today, which has been approved by the cabinet. Under the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Transport, around 80 stakeholders, including the federal states, municipalities, associations and companies, have contributed to the development of almost 70 measures. 19. October 2022 To enable the increased use of battery-electric trucks in transport nationwide in the near future, the establishment of a new, demand-focused charging network is already needed now. This charging infrastructure and its integration into the electricity grids are the subject of a new study commissioned by the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure. 21.
