Electric mobility for all: the Deutschlandnetz with 9,000 charging points is coming. Federal Minister Dr. Volker Wissing launches the campaign for the Deutschlandnetz at the LISKon Charging Infrastructure Conference 2024 (LISKon – Ladeinfrastruktur-Konferenz 2024). 20. June 2024 Entitled “Establishing charging infrastructure in the municipality” (“Ladeinfrastruktur in der Kommune aufbauen”), the publication includes practical guidelines, checklists and best practice examples that illustrate how municipalities can organise approval procedures more efficiently. It thereby defines a standardised and comprehensible nationwide approval process for the expansion of charging infrastructure. 20. June 2024 The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has launched a new version of the StandortTOOL today as part of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport’s charging infrastructure conference. It is primarily aimed at municipal planning officers and network operators, but also targets an interested public as well as charging infrastructure operators, stakeholders from research and science, the press as well as other media. 20. June 2024 The fifth course of the LadeLernTOOL – a digital learning platform for municipal employees – was published today. The e-learning tool from the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure supports municipalities in establishing charging infrastructure. 20. June 2024 A study on publicly accessible charging points and charging capacity sets the parameters for expansion over the coming years. 5. June 2024 As part of the funding call for the construction of commercial fast-charging infrastructure, companies were able to apply for funding last autumn to buy and install fast-charging points for commercial use. The associated civil engineering work and grid connection costs were also eligible for funding. The BMDV have already been able to support the installation of around 6,000 fast-charging points in the amount of about 100 million euros. 21. May 2024 Deputy Secretary of Transportation of the United States of America, Polly Trottenberg, visited NOW GmbH in Berlin today. She primarily informed herself about the federal government’s approach to expanding charging infrastructure, particularly with regard to the work carried out in the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure. Discussion points included the ‘Germany network’ (Deutschlandnetz), the fast-charging network for cars, as well as the planned initial charging network for e-trucks and the significance of trucks with fuel cell drives. 21. May 2024 In 2021, the German government set itself the goal of making Germany the leading market for electric mobility with 15 million electric cars by 2030. Establishing charging infrastructure ahead of time is a key success factor here, as is data-based demand planning. The “Manufacturer survey of electric passenger cars: market development and technology trends” (“Herstellerbefragung E-Pkw: Marktentwicklung und Technologietrends”) factsheet published today by NOW GmbH provides essential assessments and forecasts for this planning. 16. April 2024 For the transition to electric mobility to succeed, a comprehensive, needs-based and user-friendly charging infrastructure is required. The charging infrastructure, in turn, requires land on which it can be built. Municipalities and federal states play a pivotal role in providing suitable sites, as they often have suitable properties. By providing these areas, they support the expansion of the charging infrastructure in Germany and help electric mobility as a whole to succeed. 14. March 2024 Today at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), the Advisory Board of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure [at NOW GmbH] presented a roadmap for introducing bidirectional charging in Germany. Leading members of the advisory board as well as representatives of the National Centre presented the paper to Daniela Kluckert, Parliamentary State Secretary, also Commissioner for charging column infrastructure, at the BMDV. Around 50 experts from industry and relevant stakeholders developed the paper together, under the leadership of EnBW and VDA. 11. March 2024LISKON 2024: Wissing kicks off Deutschlandnetz campaign
