The European Commission has approved a €350 million German funding scheme under EU state aid rules to support the expansion of fast charging infrastructure along Germany’s motorways. The scheme provides for the installation of 952 HPC charging points at around 200 motorway locations.

The “Charging Infrastructure Conference 2023” (“Ladeinfrastruktur-Konferenz 2023”) of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr), which is taking place today in Berlin, is entirely devoted to the Federal Government’s Charging Infrastructure Master Plan II. The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has today published the new guide entitled “Easy e-truck Charging. A User Journey at Public Charging Stations Now and in 2030“ (“Einfach E-Lkw laden. The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has today launched the third course of its LadeLernTOOL e-learning platform. The platform is particularly aimed in at employees working in municipalities, to support them in setting up charging infrastructure for electric vehicles at the local level.
