New funding programmes, tools and products presented at the BMDV’s charging infrastructure conference

The “Charging Infrastructure Conference 2023” (“Ladeinfrastruktur-Konferenz 2023”) of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr), which is taking place today in Berlin, is entirely devoted to the Federal Government’s Charging Infrastructure Master Plan II. The host, Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, is welcoming more than 600 guests on site as well as additional participants who can tune in to the fully booked event via a live stream.

The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure has today published the new guide entitled “Easy e-truck Charging. A User Journey at Public Charging Stations Now and in 2030“ (“Einfach E-Lkw laden. Ein User Journey an öffentlichen Ladestationen jetzt und 2030”). The publication focuses on the public charging of battery electric trucks.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV – Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr), the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure (Nationale Leitstelle Ladeinfrastruktur) under the umbrella of the federally owned NOW GmbH is today publishing the new guideline entitled “Easy charging without barriers: Requirements for barrier-free charging infrastructure” (“Einfach Laden ohne Hindernisse: Anforderungen an barrierefreie Ladeinfrastruktur”).

Quarter of a million new charging points for companies and municipalities

The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) has approved funding for around 255,000 new charging points for companies and municipalities over the past year. A total of 229 million euros in funding have been allocated for this purpose. That is the result of the BMDV funding guideline: ‘Non-publicly accessible charging stations for electric vehicles – companies and municipalities’.
