Innovation cluster project: ‘High-capacity charging in long-haul truck transport’ (HoLa) is launched


Led by Fraunhofer ISI and under the auspices of the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry), the ‘High-capacity charging in long-haul truck transport’ (»Hochleistungsladen im Lkw-Fernverkehr« (HoLa)) is one of three innovation clusters for climate-friendly truck drive technologies recently introduced by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI).

FlächenTOOL now also displays Germany network (Deutschlandnetz) search areas


The FlächenTOOL (plot tool) of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure brings site supply and demand together.

As of now, the digital platform also indicates which registered sites are located in the 900 search areas that are being tendered by the Federal Ministry of Transport as part of the Germany network for the expansion of fast-charging parks. This makes it easier for investors to find available sites in the search areas.

Deutschlandnetz: Federal Transport Minister Scheuer presents 1,000 locations for fast charging points and pricing model


Federal Minister Andreas Scheuer today gave the starting signal for the tender of the Deutschlandnetz (Germany Network). In order to provide the basic supply of fast charging infrastructure for medium and long-distance traffic, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI – Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur) is calling for tenders for the construction and operation of a good 1,000 fast charging sites, each with several charging points.

90 million euros for the modernisation of public charging infrastructure


The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) is today already launching the second funding call from the newly established “Publicly Accessible Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles in Germany” funding guideline (“Öffentlich zugängliche Ladeinfrastruktur für Elektrofahrzeuge in Deutschland”). From 9 September 2021, companies, cities and municipalities, public institutions and private individuals will be able to receive funding for the modernisation of existing publicly accessible charging infrastructure.

500 million euros for more public charging infrastructure


The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI – Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur) is allocating a total of 500 million euros until the end of 2025 for the further development of the public charging infrastructure in Germany. The goal is to establish a total of at least 50,000 charging points (including at least 20,000 fast charging points).

One million electric vehicles on German roads for the first time – more than half are purely battery-powered


Im Juli wurden laut Kraftfahrtbundesamt in Deutschland etwa 57.000 Elektrofahrzeuge neu zugelassen. Damit erreichen Industrie und Bundesregierung das gemeinsame Ziel, eine Million elektrisch betriebene Fahrzeuge auf Deutschlands Straßen zu bringen. Über die Hälfte davon sind rein elektrische Fahrzeuge, die übrigen sind Plug-In-Hybride sowie Brennstoffzellenfahrzeuge.
