In September 2022, an online survey entitled “Charging at home: Charging behaviour of owners of private wallboxes for electric vehicles” will be conducted under the direction of Dr. Christian Hein (Studies and Science Network Charging Infrastructure Manager in the Understanding Team). A total of 200,000 people who have received funding through KfW Programme 440 (charging stations for electric cars – residential buildings) and have set up a private charging facility will be contacted.

This year, the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure will showcase its services with an information stand at the Smart Country Convention at Messe Berlin exhibition grounds. The Smart Country Convention is Germany’s largest congress focusing on the subject of digitalisation in the public sector. The Centre’s main emphasis will be on digital tools and dashboards. In addition, Dr Franziska Lobas-Funck, Team Leader Understanding, will be in attendance as a speaker.

The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) will in future provide funding for the development of charging infrastructure at employee parking lots, for electric vehicles in company or municipal fleets, and for other vehicles used for business purposes.

The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI – Bundesministerium für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur) will be providing funding support in the future for the installation of charging infrastructure at employee car parks for electric vehicles in company or municipal fleets as well as for work vehicles.
