Change is what drives us: NOW starts with new name and new logo in 2026

The „National Organization for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology“ becomes the „National Organization for the Mobility Transition“. With a new name and a new logo, the federally owned company is adapting its public image to its product portfolio, which has grown over the years.

The NOW GmbH has been supporting the German government in its climate and industrial policy goals since 2008. Originally founded to coordinate the National Innovation Program for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP), NOW GmbH has significantly expanded its portfolio over the past 18 years. In terms of technology, its tasks now include the areas of hydrogen, batteries and renewable fuels - both on the drive and fuel side and on the infrastructure side. Since December 2019, the National Charging Infrastructure Control Center has been driving the expansion of charging infrastructure in Germany under the umbrella of NOW GmbH.

Dagmar Fehler, CEO and spokesperson for NOW GmbH: „Since our foundation in 2008, we have been supporting the German government in the transformation towards climate-friendly mobility. In 18 years, we have established ourselves as a competent partner and constantly expanded our areas of expertise. Achieving the climate targets remains our central task. Our new name sums this up: we are driving the necessary change - with proven expertise, innovative solutions and a firm commitment to making mobility sustainable.“

„Change is what drives us“
The new claim sums up NOW's mission: to actively drive the transition to a climate-neutral future - through expertise that provides orientation and ensures visible results. NOW's new website provides an insight into the company's portfolio:
